Father's Eyes

So my most beautiful friend, KW, introduced me to this song the other night. It's called Father's Eyes by Amy Grant. I kind of fell in love with it. I mean, I can COMPLETELY 100% identify with the lyrics. When listening to it for the first time, I felt like it was reading my heart...

It's always a very strange feeling when you find a song that totally, word for word describes your mood or what you're feeling. Really strange, but sooooo wonderful. :)

So I will share a part of it that really reached out and touched my heart. Who knows? You may also take something away from it!

"And on that day when we will pay for all the deeds we have done,
Good and bad they'll all be had to see by everyone.
And when you're called to stand and tell just what you saw in me,
More than anything I know, I want your words to be

She's got her Father's eyes,
Eyes that find the good in things, when good is not around.
Eyes that find the source of help, when help just can't be found.
Eyes full of compassion, seeing every pain.
Knowin' what you're going through, and feeling it the same.
Just like my Father's eyes,
Just like my Father's eyes."

Wouldn't that be so amazing if someone could say that about you? I am going to work to be more like that girl the song describes. I bet Mary was like that. I betcha she totally was.

Just...Wow!!
